LASER & LIQUID REMOVAL

Why You Should Consider Lasering Your Brows and Starting Fresh

It is always worth removing old, oversaturated work. When you have a dense, blocky, or heavy previous brow tattoo, it’s not possible to create something natural, light & fluffy over the top of it. Typically when brows have been tattooed either very heavily, too many times without considering how pigment ages or simply putting the strokes too close together it lasts a very long time & doesn’t fade out successfully. When brows have been tattooed lightly, utilising negative space and not oversaturated then they fade out after an appropriate amount of time. I always encourage clients to think about how long they have left living with brows they don’t love or even like…the sooner you start removing them, the sooner you can have the brows you want.

If you’ve had semi-permanent brows done in the past but aren’t loving them anymore, you’re not alone. Styles, techniques, and pigments have come a long way over the years, and many people are realizing their brows don’t match their current vibe. Whether your brows feel outdated, oversaturated, or you just want to go all-natural, lasering them off can be a great way to start fresh. Here’s why:

1. Fixing Ashy or Oversaturated Brows

Brow pigments from years ago tend to fade into cooler, ashy tones over time. This isn’t something most people notice right away, but over the past year or so, it’s become a common long-term issue. Add multiple touch-ups to the mix, and you might be left with overly saturated brows that feel heavy and unnatural. Unfortunately, these pigments don’t fade out on their own without help. Laser removal clears away those stubborn pigments, giving you a clean slate to either redo your brows with updated pigments or leave them bare.

2. You’ve Outgrown the Style

Maybe you got your brows done during the peak of ombre or combination brow trends, but now you’re leaning toward a softer, more natural look. The “clean girl aesthetic” is all about fluffy, barely-there brows, and the bold styles of a few years ago don’t always fit that vibe. If your current brows no longer match your style, lasering them off lets you say goodbye to what no longer works and opens the door to something fresh and modern—if you choose to redo them at all.

3. Correcting Old Techniques

If you got hairstrokes or other dense brow techniques a while back, you might notice they’ve faded or blurred into a look that isn’t as crisp or flattering anymore. Older methods didn’t always age gracefully, and it’s hard to create a new look on top of those faded pigments. Techniques today are far more advanced and offer softer, more natural results. By removing your old brows, you can start over with a blank canvas and get something that looks polished but still subtle—if that’s what you’re after.

4. You Just Don’t Want Them Anymore

Not everyone wants to redo their brows after removal, and that’s totally okay. Maybe you’ve decided you’re over the whole semi-permanent brow trend and just want to go back to your natural brows. Whether it’s because you’re embracing your natural beauty, or you’re tired of the upkeep, lasering off your brows lets you step away from the trend altogether and rock what you’ve got.

A Fresh Start on Your Terms

Whether you’re looking to update your brows, fix an old style, or remove them entirely, laser removal gives you the freedom to decide what works for you now. It’s your face and your style—so why not make it something you love?

WHO IS SUITABLE FOR LASER REMOVAL?

Fitzpatrick skin types 1-6 are suitable for laser removal, skin types 5 & 6 can require more sessions in removal due to the necessity of using much lower settings as laser can also unfortunately target the melanocytes aswell as the pigment in the skin creating a higher risk of skin damage.

LIQUID REMOVAL

Liquid removal is successful for yellow pigment residues, and skin types not suitable for laser.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

The average amount is 2-5 sessions. If the skin is heavily oversaturated, more sessions will be needed. If there is just a slight shadow sometimes one session is enough. Depending on how much pigment is present, it can vary from 1-6 sessions.

DO I NEED A PATCH TEST?

The first session will include a patch test, quite often we will be able to wait 10/15 mins & then proceed if no adverse reactions are visible. Alternatively we will wait 2 weeks before the full treatment if there is any adverse reaction visible or you have a skin type that requires caution.
